Will My Product Pop?

Over-inflated Action Mat punctured with a knife.
Although we have never had any problems with our products popping, we decided to conduct a test to answer our most frequently asked questions. For our test we used a mat that has been continuously used for 6 months, a 190 lb. person, and a knife with a 1/2 inch wide blade. We over-inflated the mat until it was drum-tight and while someone was jumping on it we punctured it with the knife. The results may surprise you! Check out the video below!

Q: If overfilled will the seams burst?
A: We inflated the mat to three times its normal pressure, and the seams held.
Q: If overfilled and bounced on, will the seams burst?
A: The seams held up on our test.
Q: If overfilled and stabbed with a knife while in use will the hole continue to expand and rapidly deflate the mat?
A: No!
Q: If someone continues to bounce on the mat after it has been punctured, how long will it take for the them to bottom out?
A: Our test was done with an over-inflated mat, and a 190 lb. person. It took 3 minutes before he touched bottom! Under normal inflation, it should take about 1 minute before you can bottom out.

Conclusion
As you can see, there is a high margin of safety built into Gordon's Action Mats and Trainers. This however does not give license to abuse the equipment. Always use the inflatables over carpets or other mats. Never drag them over blacktop, cement or sharp objects. Fix flats and punctures immediately Keep your units clean, and make sure they are dry before deflating and storing. As always, any activity involving height and motion creates the possibility of accidental injury, even death. Anybody purchasing or using these products do so at their own risk. The manufacturer, location providing the mat and the dealer accept no responsibility or liability for injury or death while using this product.
